TMNT: Shanika Martinez - Sketch

Yes, I made a new TMNT OC.... However, she's footclan OC.  
Don't ask why I made another villain OC, Bellatrix was only made to work for the Kraang and to be Kiko's main enemy.  This lady right here however, is just her own character for the footclan.  And I always imagined what it would be like if the Footclan hired a female to do their dirty work.

This little cougar right here is named Shanika Martinez. She's pretty much suppose to be an anthromorphic black panther though she was a human before. (I decided to make her be a biracial race between Puerto Rican and African American ). Well her background story along with some parts of her bio is still a wip....(only because my friend is making her step-sister and I want to wait until she's done with her ). But I will say Shanika wasn't always the most successful person in her family due to some issues they have. Most of it is the usual family drama to a point she dropped out of college and did some bad things which lead her to be part of a gang. (Yeah I kind like the idea of her being from a gang since Bebop and Rocksteady represent Gang culture from the 1987 cartoon. And as much as I love the new Bebop and Rocksteady, I sort of wish they still had that gang aspect in them. Just something to help kids be aware that gangs are dangerous). 

Her clothing style is mostly punk with a touch of Rocka-billy punk and metal since she's very much into hair dying, piercings, and adores tattoo art. Shanika's personality is very bitter, rebellious, most likely mean and hot tempered since she has a strong dislike towards people.(mostly because she's been used so much by other humans way before she got mutated ). But she can be very sarcastic when it comes to her teasing/picking fights with the Footclan members (mainly Rahzar and Bebop) and to the turtles since she loves to pick around on them in their fights. And to put it short, she's a pretty much a bitch to people.

How did she get mutated by chance? Well, seeing how she had made some bad choices.... She had developed cancer when she was having her smoking problems, and she was very terrified since there really wasn't a cure. But ever since the invasion of Krang, she's been curious to know if mutagen may be they only solution to cure herself from cancer. (Yes, I do headcanon that mutagen can cure it. But there are consequences due to the side-affects of being a mutant ). So they snuck around the Footclan's building, just so Shanika can steal the mutagen from Baxter's lab so she can cure herself. Though it didn't work as planned since she got caught and was punished when the Shredder released a huge puma to attack her.(which explains her scratch marks on he back )

However, as much as she hated doing this.... She used a bit of a flirtatious teasing talk to one of the footclan boys (mainly Bebop and Xever since it's proven those two are girl crazy and are desperate for a girlfriend ). As much as Xever admired women, he wasn't that stupid to fall for her trick. Bebop on the other hand, just couldn't help it as he gave her mutagen to cure herself and yup.... Big changes in her chromosomes, mutating cycle, and boom.... She changed into a big black puma and used her strength to busy herself freed. However, The Shredder forced her to join the footclan since he was impressed with her combat skills as a mutant. Nika didn't like the fact that she changed into a mutated freak, but she knew humans were truly monsters and embraced her own instincts and power as a mutant.



More facts about Nika:
- She's bisexual, so she's pretty much into any guy or lady
- She loves music more than anything and her favorite musical genres are alternative/punk, metal (especially 80s metal), metalcore, hip-hop, electronic, and sometimes dubstep.  Nika would do anything to attend clubs or any concert out there in New York.
- She likes to pig out on snacks when she's got nothing to due on free time and doesn't give a shit about her weight
- Though only in the IDW universe, she loves NSFW things and would try to look up porn on her free time.
- Nika likes to model for punk culture and pinup magazines, so she would enjoy dressing up as a pinup as one of her hobbies
- While she's in the footclan, she loves to beat down on the other members when she trains.  Though she always picks fight with them and loves to compete of who's tougher on the dangerous tasks Shredder makes them do.
- She's a bit of a smoker and alcoholic but she only smokes/drinks when she's very stressed.
- And also, she's a big potty mouth so don't be surprised if she cusses when she's in a bad mood.


However, I plan to give her a nickname since she's a mutant. I mean Mikey gives the badguys nicknames and it be nice to see Nika getting those mutant names.

*Ok I'll admit it, unlike the other female tmnt villain I made.... I actually plan pairing her with one of the footclan dudes.XD. Try to guess which baddy I paired her with XD*
 I imagine her VA being Cree Summer btw :T (or maybe Nidalee's VA actress from League of Legends)

I hope this doesn't make her sound stereotypical.... I only gave her those races just because of her animal species and I wanted more variety of races in my OCs.
