LOOK WHAT I GOT YESTERDAY FROM THE MAIL :D

Oh man, I've been wanting to read these comics!


Basically, these were Mario comic strips that used to be in the Nintendo Power magazines back in 1993. I only seen a few pages of them before, but I sadly never grew up with them as a child.

But I was on my FB a few weeks ago and noticed that Nintendo decided to mash these comics together, so fans can cherish these comics again. (since Nintendo Power magazines no longer exist) Once the advertisement showed these, I decided to preorder the comics


Tbh, I thought these comics were a fun to read. Sure they were corny, but what VG comic was never corny in the 90s?XD (Plus Peach was a badass in these comics, she'll beat you like a pulp) Also, I really love looking at Tamakichi Sakura's artworks (or Charlie Nozawa, if you call him that)
There's something about his art style that has this fun cartoony caricature mixed with manga to it. Sort of feels a bit nostalgic whenever I look at his arts.

If only Nintendo can make new manga series with the same artist and add more characters like Rosalina. Hell, I wouldn't mind an anime adaption with the same art style of these comics (and perhaps the writing style mixed with the writing of Mario RPG series)


I actually want to draw somethings inspired by Sakura's works.
